M&S Bank started life back in 1985 as St Michaels Financial Services with the launch of the M&S
chargecard. In 2000 Marks and spencer launched home and contents insurance with travel and pet insurance launched in 2002.
In 2004 M&S Money was bought by the HSBC and the two companies entered into a 50/50 profit sharing agreement. For the
year ended 03/04/2010 this brought M&S an operating profit of £30.4 million (previous year £24.8
million) Later in the year Marks launched car insurance and in 2010 25 years of M&S Money was celebrated. InJune
2010 M&S Money was named most trusted motor insurance provider and best travel insurance provider for service in the moneywise
customer service awards.

your needs. New for old is covered on all replaced contents and M&S cardholders receive 1,000 points when they buy online.
M&S Car Insurance.
M&S offers cardholders 1000 points for online car insurance
purchases and with premier insurance cover Marks and Spencer also offers free breakdown insurance.
M&S Pet Insurance
Marks and Spencer pet insurance is available for dogs and
cats with no upper age limits and for a limit time you can save 15% online.
